Nature at its best in “The City Beautiful”

“Chandigarh” is the first planned city of India is located in the Northern region of India and acts as the capital of Punjab and Haryana. Earlier was known as “Tri-city”, but now it’s becoming moreover Chandigarh Capital Region.

Chandigarh is situated in near the foothills of Himalayas, and has a humid subtropical climate characterized by a seasonal rhythm: very hot summers, mild winters, unreliable rainfall and great variation in temperature. But even this kind of drastic atmosphere does not make a big difference because of Eco-system.

This is because of the green belt and dense plantations throughout the region. The adjoining areas are also full of forest land, which is the den of rare wild species. Even very famous Sukhna Lake hosts a variety of ducks and geese, and attracts migratory birds from parts of Siberia and Japan in the winter season creates a perfect atmosphere in the region.
